What should I wear?

Coastal Chic- Light and breezy attire with a polish touch.  Lightweight slacks and sports coats or suits for the men.  Can also wear slacks and a long sleeved button down shirt and tie.  Please avoid short sleeved shirts and jeans.  For women, any mini, mid or long dress in lightweight fabrics.  Please do not wear spiked heels as the grounds are grassy and uneven. We ask that women avoid wearing white or cream colored attire. Bring a hat and or sunglasses as we will all watch the sun set and we will be at the beach after all!.  Wedding ceremony and reception will be outdoors so a light sweater or jacket may be needed once it gets dark.

Where do I park?

There is no parking at the Adamson House for wedding guests and since it is the summer, there will be little to no street parking as we will be on the beach.  For your convenience we have rented a parking lot at the Serra Retreat, 3401 Serra Road, Malibu, CA 90265.  The entrance to the Serra Retreat is across the street from the Adamson House.  Follow signage to the free guest parking and take the shuttles provided to the venue.  It will take you roughly 15 minutes from the time you park to get on and off the shuttle.  Please plan to be parked no later than 2:45pm.

Is there a hotel room block for the wedding?

Yes! We have a room block reserved at the Cambria Hotel in Calabasas, just a short drive from the venue. You’ll find the booking link on the Travel tab of our website for easy access and discounted rates.

Where should I be dropped off if I am Ubering?

Unfortunately it is against the law for Uber drivers to stop on Pacific Coast Hwy. in front of the Adamson House to pick up and drop off guests.  Ubers are also unauthorized to enter the Adamson House State Park grounds.  If you must take an Uber, please have your driver drop you off in the parking lot reserved for wedding guests at the Serra Retreat and take the shuttles down to the venue.  Thank you 

How can I tell if I’m in the right place?

Our wedding is at the Adamson House in Malibu—a historic estate right on the coast, next to First Point and the Malibu Pier.

Guest parking is located at the Serra Retreat , just off Serra Road, across the street from the Adamson House. Look for signage marking the entrance to Serra Retreat, we’ll have signs to reassure you that you’re in the right spot! Once you pull in, our shuttles will be ready to greet you. From there, you’ll take a quick shuttle ride down to the Adamson House entrance on Pacific Coast Highway.

You’ll be dropped off at the front entrance of the Adamson House, where more signs will help guide you in. From there, it’s just a short walk through the gardens, a beautiful path surrounded by green grass, flowers, and coastal views, until you reach the oceanfront lawn where the ceremony and celebration will take place.

Plan to arrive with a little extra time to park, shuttle, and enjoy the scenic stroll in. We’re so excited to celebrate with you!

What is the weather supposed to be like?

The weather in Malibu in August averages about 85 degrees during the day and cools down to around 60 degrees in the evening after the sun goes down. 

Will there be a bar at the wedding reception?  Should I bring any cash?

We will be having an open bar at the wedding - feel free to grab a signature drink, cocktail, beer, or wine! There will also be plenty of soda and juice options for those who do not drink. No need to bring cash unless you would like to tip the bartenders (they typically have Venmo as well). Please be responsible with your alcohol and do not drink and drive.
